Thank my Lucky Stars, Stampin’ Up

This is one of my favorite new stamp sets from the 2016 Occasions Catalog, that I was really surprised will be retiring at the end of this month. It is so cool, with the constellation, and really unique sentiments. I thought I would give you a quick card idea, that could be easily switched for many different occasions. A masculine style card, with which lots of people have trouble coming up with new ideas. It would make a really nice Father’s Day or Graduation card. It’s also tone on tone ,which makes it so very appealing!

I basically went through the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack and chose a few patterns, then picked my ink and card stock color from there. I cut different sizes of both the Banner and Star Framelits and placed them all around the card, layering some, doing some overlapped, then when I liked the way it looked, I added adhesive. I also popped the largest star up on dimensionals, and the star with the sentiment up on two levels of dimensionals to give added emphasis. I sponged the edges of most everything with Lost Lagoon ink to give a flow of color, and bring it all together. I hope you like it and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Until next time…..Stay Crafty!!

Thankful for You
