Fiesta Thank You, Stampin’ Up

Hi Stampers! Hope you are having a beautiful day of just being alive!! What incredible weather we are having. All of the birds in my yard are singing. We even had the pleasure of seeing a fox in the yard early this morning. Also, we now have a chipmunk, and a huge variety of birds I don’t recall seeing here in past years. So much beauty with all the song birds, flowers and nature. Ok , I digress…..I am hoping you have just the occasion coming up to share this great card with someone you care about. These days, it is so important to tell those you care about how you feel. And, the world can certainly use all of the lovely positive thoughts, and caring we can share with each other.

One note about the video, I am so sorry I used the Black Embossing Powder again (boo me), since it is no longer available. However, you could either use black ink and Clear embossing powder, or use the Archival Black ink instead. Unless you still have the black embossing powder, then you are all set!

This is a quick , fun card to make, plus you can switch the greeting and Designer Series Paper around for absolutely any occasion!!

Until next time….. Stay Crafty!

Seaside Shore cards, Stampin’ Up

Hi stampers! With all of the summer fun, Finding Dory hype, and sunny weather, I couldn’t resist making this fun and easy card. I love all of the cut out fish, which I really enjoy doing. I am a one of the few who enjoy fussy cutting 😉 The peek through on this card is what really makes it for me, and the last minute additions to the front really bring it all together. I think sometimes, starting  with a simple idea, and seeing where it takes you, makes the best cards! These would also make great Pool Party invites, or if your little one is having a Aquarium party too. I hope this card has inspired you to give another look to the Seaside Shore Suite, it’s one of my FAVS!!

Until next time….Stay Crafty!

Welcome Baby, Stampin’ Up

Hey stampin’ friends! I designed this for one of my You Tube subscribers last week. She has a grandson on the way and needed an idea, so I have given you two! You could also easily change this to a Pink Pirouette or Blushing Bride color scheme. Or do a neutral for a suprise gender baby,( as mine was) in Pear Pizzazz or Daffodil Delight. The first card is a standard size of  5 1/2″ by 4 1/4″. The fun fold card will have measurements below. I used all of the same add ons on each card( moon, baby, clouds).

Hope you will give this simple card a try.  It would also be great if you are doing multiple cards, for example hosting the shower and need to make invites, or have a lot of pregnant friends at the same time 😉

Until next time…..Stay Crafty 😉

Standard 5 1/2″ by 4 1/4″ card, DSP is 5 1/4″ by 4″

Fun Fold card measurements:

You will find this makes more sense if you watch the video to see it as the card is made:)

Base: Marina Mist 4″ by 9 3/4″, put the long side (9 3/4″) legnthwise in at 1 1/2″, move your cutting blade down to 3″ and cut from 3″ to 7 1/2″. Then turn your card vertically (4″), and score at 3″ down to cut line only, score at 5 1/4″ all the way down, and at 7 1/2 ” from the bottom to the cut line.

Add Whisper White on the front and back panels measuring 2 3/4″ by 3 3/4″(front) and 2″ by 3 3/4″(back). You will need 4 pieces of DSP. Two measure 2″ by 2 1/4″. Two measure 2″ by 1 1/4″. Be mindful depending on which Designer Series Paper you use on the pattern if it will bother you it it’s not facing the correct direction.

I also added a piece of Whisper White on the back of the card that measures 4 1/4″ by 5 1/2″(standard size).I fussy cut the words and added them up on dimensionals for extra impact!

Christmas in June?!? Why not;), Stampin’ Up

Hey stampers! OH MY WORD, I saw this really neat idea on Pinterest. I am not sure, but I think it was using the Anchor from The Open Sea stamp set if you happen to own it.  I thought this was just the most adorable Christmas card. Really, how can you not just squeal? If you’ve watched me at all, you know I AM IN LOVE WITH THE SEA!!! This will make such an awesome card for your beach livin’ friends, your in laws in Florida( or other sunny locales), your Christmas time vacationing families……so many options. Or if you are like me at all, and just need another tiny excuse to throw in ANOTHER Sea inspired card;)

This is a VERY SIMPLE card to make, direct to card stock stamping, except I fussy cut the Starfish for the tree top. There is much more info on the video, and of course me yapping on about the total cuteness of this card 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time…. Stay Crafty!

BLOG HOP! Camping Under the Stars, Stampin’ Up

Hi stampin’ and crafting friends……How was your first day of summer? If this card set doesn’t make you yearn for the great outdoors, (or GLAMPING if you prefer ;-)), then I don’t know what else will. It is so very FUN to work with, and this was one of the sets on my MUST HAVE FIRST order list.

So to start, what I have done with the cards I have made, is to cut  the mountain and tree thinlits near the bottom of the card stock pieces  to create the “grass” area underneath. I know in the catalog, they show you that they use larger layers of card bases, and layer them one on top of another , which is another great option. However, I seem to think much differently when I create or construct my cards, and I think I came up with a totally unique view……

Also upon first making this card, I didn’t even realize you could make it into a nighttime style card, which is such a huge bonus to me……a great camp-out, fireside chat feel, do you agree?

This card has a base of Basic Black , measuring  5 1/2″ by 4 1/4″,  a layer of Night of Navy measuring 5 1/4″ by 4″. I used Versamark and White Embossing powder to make the stars really pop. I cut the mountains out of Crumb Cake, with Whisper White snow capped tops. The tent is also in Crumb Cake, with the coordinating image stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. The trees and grass are cut from Always Artichoke, and Wild Wasabi. I  did the clouds, fire, moon, and bear on Whisper White. I used Crumb Cake ink on the bear, Night of Navy to outline the clouds, Crushed Curry for the moon, and Soft Suede, Real Red, and Pumpkin Pie inks to create the fire. The lake was done in Island Indigo, then fussy cut. I used lots of dimensionals to give depth and a true to life feeling on this super cool card. I used Always Artichoke to stamp the wooden post sign, and greeting on the inside, and the Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write markers, to add a little grass and dirt underneath.

It was a great challenge for me to think outside of the box. More so to not use ALL of the things on the stamp set and thinlits at once :-0. This is going to be a card you see VERY often as the summer, and even fall progress, so you are going to want to add it to your wish list too!

First Sight, Stampin’ Up

Hi stampers, this simple yet beautiful card would be great for an upcoming summer wedding or even a baby shower. You could use dimensionals to give a little extra lift, add a little Wink of Stella for a pop of sparkle, and even add some clear embossing powder over the words for added interest. Dressed up or down this is a lovely and easy card to mass produce as well! You could also switch out to any of the Soft Subtles colors to coordinate with your specific event:)

Until next time……Stay Crafty!!
