Halloween Mini Milk cartons, Stampin’ Up!

Hi Stampers,

I want to send out my thoughts and prayers to all of those affected by Harvey, Irma, and the wildfires. I am thinking of and praying for you all. I cannot imagine what some people have seen and gone through in these past few weeks and I am very blessed to be safe with my family and friends.

My heart also goes out to the September 11th victims and families. It is a day I will NEVER FORGET. I pray you find peace in the memories of your loved ones. They will not be forgotten by me, and I thank them all for sacrificing what they had no choice in giving.

I have a project today that will hopefully bring a smile or smirk to your face, as we can all use a little uplifting on a day such as this.

I made these cute little mini milk cartons after watching a Facebook live that Angie Juda did this past Friday. She made an adorable triangle treat box, and I thought wouldn’t that be cool as a larger lidded project. I know I am not the first to think of this, but the way ideas come to me is usually through someones project that becomes something else in my mind.

That and for some reason as I fall asleep at night, I think about card or box ideas……probably why I am always so tired, seems my mind will not shut off.

Ok to on to the directions.

I made this box using a 6″ by 8 1/2″ piece of card stock. You could use DSP, but it may be slightly less sturdy.

Score on the 8 1/2″ long side at 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″

Score on the 6″ side at 1 /2″, then move to the other unscored side and score at 2″, move this new 2″ score line to 2″ and score again. This will make your box much easier to close since all the squares are not exactly equal. You will have a 2″, 2″ and about 1 1/2″ box.

Once you trim up the pieces that need trimming and need to be removed, you will again put your card stock in on the 8 1/2″ side, lining up the 1st and 3rd boxes in between the 1″ marks on the Stampin’ Trimmer. Then make a small tic mark with the score blade, your stylus or bone folder.

After doing both, you will take a ruler and score from the inside corner to the tick mark on both sides, on both boxes. ( This will all make immensely more sense if you watch the video as you go along.)

You will want to be sure to burnish all of your score lines with the bone folder, and be sure to use a really good adhesive, like Fast Fuse or Tear n Tape.

It’s all fully explained in the video in case this seems confusing.

Until next time,

Stay Crafty!!

XOXO Rach
