Smooshing Technique, Stampin’ Up!

Hi Stampers!

This was a super fun and fly by the seat of my pants project. I didn’t really even have an idea in mind and I love how these cards turned out 🙂 I also think in addition to the “Smooshing Technique”, Heat Embossing the entire card was such a WOW!!

So just in case you missed it, Ink Smooshing is just added ink from your stamp pad, reinker or even Stampin’ Write markers to either a piece of Window Sheet, a clear piece of sheet that comes with your photopolymer stamp sets, or use a plastic baggie or piece of clear food wrap.

You can dilute it with water from your aqua painter, or Stampin’ spritzer, then flip it onto a 4″ by 5 1/4″ panel of Thick Whisper White card stock. You can pick it up and move it around, or reink and do it again.

To do the whole sheet with the clear embossing, I first made sure the ink was dry with the Heat Tool, then direct to paper added Versamark, covered with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set it. It gives a super shiny, almost underwater look.

I will be LIVE again next Wednesday at 930am EST on my Facebook page with a brand new card idea. You can find me here.

Until next time,

Stay Crafty

XO Rach
