Build It/Nailed It Father's Day gift box, Stamping' Up!

Rachael · April 23, 2017 · Leave a Comment

Hi Stampers!
If you didn’t see the video on how I finished up this cute little box, check it out the video on my Facebook page. I had been wanting to create this for a Father’s Day blog hop, but sadly it will be retired by then, so I wanted to make sure you saw how truly cool stamp set and framelit set are.
To make the box, I used a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the images randomly in Night of Navy ink. I used a piece of Smoky Slate card stock to make the base box where you’ll add your goodies!
Let me know what stamp sets you will be sad to see go, and I will try to get a card created for you before they’re all gone…..boo hoo!
No worries though, there will be a new catalog coming out very soon to make you forget all your worries :0
Using the Simply Scored scoring tool, score the Whisper White cardstock on the 8 ¼” side at ½” & 2 ¾’, turn 180* and repeat scoring at ½” & 2 ¾”. Turn to the 7 ¼” side and score at 2 ¼”, turn 180* and repeat score at 2 ¼”. Burnish score lines with the Bone Folder. On the 8 ¼” side cut up to mid box, then trim off the skinny strip on each side, leaving the middle skinny piece in place. Repeat on opposite side. Add adhesive to skinny strip (Fast Fuse or TomBow Liquid glue hold best). Fold sides in, fold skinny strip over and press to adhere. Repeat on opposite side.
Again with the scoring tool, score Smoky Slate card stock on the 8” side at ½” & 2 5/8”, turn 180* and repeat scoring at ½” & 2 5/8”. Turn to the 6 ¾” side and score at 2”, turn 180* and repeat score at 2”. Burnish score lines with the Bone Folder. On the 8” side cut up to mid box, then trim off the skinny strip on each side, leaving the middle skinny piece in place. Repeat on opposite side. Add adhesive to skinny strip (Fast Fuse or TowBow Liquid glue hold best). Fold sides in, fold skinny strip over and press to adhere. Repeat on opposite side.
You can then trim and add your tools of choice, and a greeting, and it will be all ready to fill up for Dad!

Until next time, Stay Crafty!
XO Rach
