Swirly Frames with Die Cuts, Stampin' Up!

Rachael · September 18, 2018 · Leave a Comment

Hi stampers!
I hope you will enjoy these fun cards inspired by Kelly Acheson. I saw these on a blog post of hers a while back and just had to make one, but I could not find them again. So after some deep digging and help from a fellow demo, I had a glimpse of them and then went on a whirlwind imagination tour and made these extra fun versions.
I really created the video to share how you can make the die cut from the color panel underneath and save some paper and then just got totally carried away!

I used some of the 2018-20 In Colors and then another fun and bright color group to create them and played the backgrounds off of each one with a new twist.
For the Happy Birthday card in Gorgeous Grape, I used the strip of cardstock I cut off to bring the card top and bottom together and then added a strip of ribbon to finish it.
For the Sunshine card, I die cut the word sunshine three times, stacked and glued them together and then added three layers of clear embossing to make it shine. I also added the “hello” with the 2018-20 In Color Embossing powder pack.
For the Dragonfly card, I added some Granny Apple Green Ribbon and Wink of Stella to make it all pop.
Finally for the Celebrate card I layered Basic Black, Lovely Lipstick and Sparkle Glimmer paper with the fine tip glue pen to make a super fun layer. I added in some iridescent sequins and also die cut and layered the “you” twice as well.
These cards are so out of my comfort zone, but the fun colors are so contagious, how could you not LOVE them!
Who will you share a card with?
First card color scheme:

Granny Apple Green
Mango Melody
Poppy Parade
Gorgeous Grape
Basic Black

Second card color scheme:

Pineapple Punch
Lovely Lipstick
Call Me Clover
Blueberry Bushel
Basic Black

Until next time,
Stay Crafty
XO Rach
