I found this simply, beautiful card on Pinterest. It is so pure and light and airy I just had to make it, and I finally got my Wink of Stella brush in the mail….. I just couldn’t resist!
Card base is Tip Top Taupe cut at 5 1/2″ by 4 1/4″, second layer is Marina Mist cut at 5 1/4″ by 4″, then Whisper White cut at 5 1/8″ by 3 7/8″. I stamped 5 hexagons of the various patterns from the Six Sided Sampler onto Whisper White, and punched them out with the coordinating Hexagon Punch. I tested out the arrangement of the hexagons, then stamped the splatter stamp from Timeless Textures in Tip Top Taupe. I secured them all down with Snail adhesive, then I cut a piece of the clear glitter tape( which came today as well) in half lengthwise and slipped it right along the bottom edge of the hexagons. I went back in and added some Wink of Stella through the splattered areas. I thought the small heart punch was cute but decided to curl the whole heart with my bone folder to rough it up. On card #1 I actually worked the card stock hard enough, that I was able to split it in half and put the rough or “suede side” facing up. On card #2, I added a second heart in Marina Mist that I roughed up with the bone folder as well. All the hearts are popped up into dimensionals with a few Pearls on the solo heart!
Simple. Pure. Beautiful.
