Hi Stampers!
This fun card may be a throwback for some, but I for one think this is an classic gem, that is waiting for a revival. Plus, it’s a really great new card (for me anyway) style.
I did another version in Pineapple Punch but decided to show off the cute crocs( or gators) in the Animal Expedition Suite with a Call Me Clover version.
This card is really simple to make and you can even do it backwards ( see video) and it still will be something to show off!
You really do need to watch the video to see how you can make this card either way, but the measurements are below.
CARD RECIPE
Card Base: 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″
On the 5 1/2″ side, you will score at 3″ down until you hit 7 1/2″, then stop
On the 8 1/2″ side with the wider end at the bottom, score at 1″, 2″, 3 1/2″, 4 3/4″, 6 1/2″
Then using your Stampin’ Trimmer, use the cutting blade and cut from 1″ to 6 1/2″ as shown
DSP layers: Main left card 4″ by 2 1/4″, Bottom Right 3/4″ by 2 7/8″, Mid Right 1 3/8″ by 2 7/8″, Top Right 1 5/8″by 2 7/8″
REMEMBER: If you cut the base backwards, which you see I did as well, you just need to cut your DSP layers differently, the left side will be wider by a bit and the right sides will be a bit more narrow. Either way you do this, it will still be adorable.
Until next time,
Stay Crafty!
