Thin Blue Line Thank you to Law Enforcement & First Responders

Rachael · May 15, 2019 · Leave a Comment

Hi Stampers! I wanted to be sure to share these really wonderful cards I created on Sunday. They honor Police Officers &First Responders and I am only sad to say I wish a certain someone had shared this idea with me sooner and I could have made a Mother’s Day version!

These are wonderful cards for everyday Thank You’s, Congratulations on ranks, graduations from the academy or K9 handlers and also sadly honoring Officers and Firefighters who have passed away.

I am sure whomever you share these with will be very grateful you thought of them and they were pretty simple to make. I did use a few retired stamp sets and a retired punch to create them but we do have some wonderful current products that will fill those spots nicely.

CARD RECIPE

Base Card:4 1/4″ by 11″ scored at. 5 1/2″

Blueberry Bushel POLICE

Real Red FIREFIGHTERS

Pumpkin Pie or Crushed Curry PARAMEDIC/EMT

Basic Black if you’d like to layer a strip as I did above

Layer: 4″ by 5 1/4″ of black if you layered onto a colored card stock piece

Strip:1/2″ by 5 1/2″  ( I was told it is a thin blue or red line separating, so I made it very thin)

Inside Panel: Whisper White 4″ by 5 1/4″

I used the Isaiah 46:4 which cut away from the rest of the sentiment in the Hold onto Hope stamp set and White Heat Embossed it.

I cut the cross in Silver Foil paper.

I used a few retired stamps and punches:

RETIRED

Dad Jokes-Happy Father’s Day sentiment

You’re My Hero- Firetruck, Police car, Hero sentiment

Triple Heart punch- I used the wide heart to make the paw pad, 1/2″ punch to make the paw toes

You could also use the DOG BUILDER PUNCH and make a black dog and add the color as a collar

LOYAL AND TRUE is a wonderful stamp set as well, we had a coordinating punch( it retired) and maybe you are lucky enough to already own it too!

I would love to hear your thoughts on what stamp sets you’d like to see to honor America, military , police and first responders!

Until next time,

Stay Crafty!

XO Rach
