Valentine's Day Blog Hop, Stampin' Up!

In case you haven’t figured it out, Valentine’s Day is our theme this month <3 XOXO
I was super happy to be able to include the January 2018 Paper Pumpkin into this super fun and creative card. I knew I didn’t want to use a “normal” Valentine’s stamp set, so I started looking though and thinking about my stamp sets and the adorable Message in a Bottle stamp set popped right into my head! I love this set, even though I under use it. I will be bringing it to the front and getting more use from it now 😉
I also added in some touches from the January Paper Pumpkin kit. It is SUPER adorable too. I also choose to not use as many traditional colors for my card as well, hence the Bermuda Bay. I LOVE Bermuda Bay, it is a bright and really fun color and I think it really lends a special feel to this card too.
I stamped the “XOXO” in Bermuda Bay ink onto the Bermuda Bay card stock by using my T-square ruler to keep them even. I kind of winged the spacing to my liking.
I had also stamped the HEART image from the PP kit in Real Red ink onto Whisper White card stock, then I added some glue from the Fine Tip glue pen. When it dried I used the Real Red Stampin’ Write marker to go around the edges to cover the white edges from trimming. I also went over the glue that had dried with the marker as well to make it a bit brighter. I added some with Mini Glue Dots and some with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the “bottle and I love you strips in the bottle” with Memento Tuxedo black ink. After allowing them to dry I colored them in with the Stampin’ Blends markers. I used the Cherry Cobbler light and dark, the Pirouette Pink light and dark, and the Pool Party in light to fill in the “bottle” space. I finally added a bit of the Smoky Slate in light to add in some shadow effect. I popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Heat Embossed the popping heart with Silver Embossing Powder.
I also went along the edges of the front with a White Gel Pen and added in some dashes and a heart at each corner.
The inside sentiment we stamped in Real Red ink and also Memento black ink and then I colored the “X&O” with the Real Red marker, and added in an extra heart on the envelope.

    I was interested in your use of the glue and that you colored over it. That would solve the problem of it lifting the color on whisper white. Off to experiment some more.
