BEFORE: how to add the color to Watercolor paper
AFTER: the finished project
Welcome to Stamp It Group Valentine’s Theme Blog Hop. We are all using current Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Rachael Rife from Maryland, USA and you are visiting my blog Rachthestamper. At the bottom of my post, you will find a list of all the participating blog hoppers so you can move along from blog to blog and see all the fantastic projects. Make sure to leave a comment on each blog with the hashtag #stampitcontest to be entered to win the Notes of Kindness Card Kit!
To create the card above, I added in different colors with a combination of using the Aquapainter and a #4 round tip brush with water and glycerine. I figured if you could use the sponge like we did the other day to add a smoother background, you could also try this technique with a round paintbrush and some glycerine too. I will say it is not exactly as smooth as the sponges but it does give a really nice effect.
I used the same color for the top but in two different dilutions to achieve different hues. If you want a really good idea of how I did it, check out the YouTube video below for other tips and tricks as well.
I listed all the supplies below and you can get all of them in my online store by clicking the link or by going here.
