Stampin’ Up Love you Sew

Hello stampin’ friends…well friend anyway, since I seem to have reeled in one person to see my posts! This is  such a cool set, especially for us crafters, and the 2015-2017 In colors are really some of my favorites. That really kills me about the In colors, they’re only around such a short time. Seems I fall in love, and BOOM! they’re gone:/ So this card was made using a base cut at 4 1/4″  by 11′, scored at 5 1/2″( this is a stand-up card, if you don’t want it vertical, simply cut and score your usual way), you will need one piece of whisper white cut at 4″ by 5 1/2″for the inside, another piece at 4″ by 3″ and two pieces of scrap one at least 2 1/2″ to punch and a little piece for your pop up piece. Stamp your decorative back ground on the 4″ by 3″ piece, adhere it to your card base, adhere the larger whisper white piece inside, stamp your sentiment onto the 2 1/2″ piece and punch it out with the 2″ circle punch, stamp and fussy cut your little decoration, pop it up on a dimensional , and bingo…..you’re a craft hero!!!

Sky is the Limit

This is actually a combo post. It also features the limited time Sky is the Limit set(for the sentiment) which is free with a $50 purchase during Sale a bration! Time is running out though, SAB ends March 31, 2016.I did this set two ways, the second one I really only changed placement of the sentiment. This is also a very versitile set for many different occasions. I would however highly recommend getting the thinlets that go with the set, because fussy cutting those flowers was certainly not my favorite thing today:/ I love this set because it reminds me of Hawaii, which was one of my all time favorite vacations, to which I hope to return one day.

You can also get the DSP, which I did not use on these cards, but is truly equally gorgeous!

To make the front fold cards, you will need:

Watermelon Wonder cut at 4 1/4″ by 5  1/2″ (base) and two more pieces, one 4″ by 2 1/2″, one 4 1/2″ by 1 3/4″ score at 1/2″(either end, does not matter, it will be tucked under the Whipser White base) and Whipser White pieces one, 4″ by 5 1/4″, one 3 3/4″ by 2 1/4″.

So after stamping onto all the whipser white cardstocks ,  take the Watermelon Wonder piece with the 1/2″ scored end and add some adhesive of choice, attach it to the Whisper White about 1/2″ from the left side, then add dimensionals to the layered watermelon wonder/whipser white pieces , only on one side( the side you want to attach to the folded down edge) attach it sbout 3/4″ or midway down. This is a great card to make since it looks like many paper layers but there is really limited cutting involved and it is a layer not complicated cutting card.

Enjoy:)

Stampin’ Up Hello

Hello, can you hear me? Ok, I’m certainly no Adele, my friends will definitely attest to that! :-0 This is a limited time SAB set you can get for free with a$50 purchase….only until March 31st.I made some note cards that you can slip in a gift bag or wrapped gift. These are so darn cute, but sadly not mail able. These would also make a great birthday gift ,  housewarming or hostess gift  to party you’re attending. All you need to do is include envelopes. Stampin’ up sells cute Whisper White ones, in which these will fit perfectly. I did these in a more masculine color combination, just because sometimes , well I do anyway,  get stuck using the same cheery colors. Maybe some of your girlfriends don’t like pink and orange, etc. So this is another option.

To start you are going to need for 6 cards, 6 pieces of 3″ by 6″ Whisper White, scored at 3″, some designer series paper of your choice( this is Going Global designer paper stack) cut at 2 3/4″ square, and Whisper White about 2 1/2″ square to punch .

Score and fold your 3″ Whisper White square, add your DSP with the adhesive of your choice, stamp your sentiment onto the 2 1/2″ square and punch out with the 2″ circle punch, attach with a dimensional. You did it…..and aren’t they just so cute?

Stampin’ up First Sight

Hello……is anyone listening? I hope so, because today I have a really beautiful set to show you. This is really a heartwarming set for me, being a mom and also sadly losing my mother last year. It makes it a bittersweet,  but incredibly meaningful set . I will be using this one to create my Mother’s Day cards which I send all to all my “mom” friends. Some of which like myself have lost their moms all too soon. I think in a way reminds us even on our worst day being a mom, stressed out, frazzled and tired, to try to give it our best(until we pass out from exhaustion anyway!) just once more.  I hope you love this set as much as I do as it pairs so well with So Saffron……till next time, Enjoy:)
