Mirror image stamping with Photopolymer stamps, Stampin' Up!

Rachael · May 3, 2018 · Leave a Comment

Hi Stampers!
This super fun card is a copy of a new card I wish I could share in the new 2018-19 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog….but soon enough you will be able to see it all 🙂
I will add I cannot put the stamp set used as it is not in the online store yet, but it is the Peaceful Reflections stamp set I won at Onstage 2018 in Hartford CT. It is super versatile and you may remember it from the Lily Pad Lake card last week!
This card is almost an exact replica of the card in the catalog and I think it is super fun as the sentiment is at the bottom ( I did not add one) so you can make it for any occasion you need. Also you can totally swap out the color scheme to your needs as well:)
I sponge brayered the top in Soft Sky and the bottom in Marina Mist, both of which are retiring.
I stamped the Dragonfly in Tranquil Tide and added wing color with Powder Pink, also I stamped the flower outline in Calypso Coral and did the inside in Powder Pink as well.
I flipped the stamps I used over to create the “reflection”  stamps by using Pool Party, I think it is a tad dark, so you could use Soft Sky for this as well if you’d like.
I added the “water”  accents in Dapper Denim which is also retiring.
Card measurements:
Base layer 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″, score on the long side at 4 1/4″
Whisper White layer : 5″ by 3 1/2″
I added a piece of burlap ribbon that I cut in half to fit the card a bit better and added a bow I tied with White Bakers Twine and a glue dot.
How will you make this card your own? Let me know;)
Until next time,
Stay Crafty
XO Rach
