Hi Stampers!
This is the second card I created the other day with this wonderful new stamp set: Let It Ride!
I know a lot of horse lovers who will be thrilled to have a new horse set to use. I created this card on Watercolor paper using Aqua
Painters and various Stamp pads.
I actually did the horse starting with Cajun Craze and then added in bits of Crumb Cake and Early Espresso to add high and low lights.
I ran the base layer of Whisper White through the Big Shot with the Pinewood Planks DTEIF (which if you do not have, you need to get! It is way underrated) and then added some Frost White Shimmer paint and alcohol to a Stampin’ Spritzer and sprayed it! SOOO COOL!!.
I also flicked the final image with the horses and trees with my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write marker to give it a pop of fun.
CARD RECIPE
Base Layer: Soft Suede 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
Layer: Whisper White 4″ by 5 1/4″
Layer: Watercolor paper about 3″ by 4″
Whisper White scraps for sentiment
A tip when watercoloring: Keep a paper towel near by, if the image is too dark for you, just dab it, it will pick up the ink and you can reapply as you like!
Until next time,
Stay Crafty!
