Welcome to the Stampin Friends Summer Fun Blog Hop!
This month’s theme is Summer Fun.
If you’re following along the hop, you’ve arrived from Steph’s blog.
Don’t forget to continue on the hop with Cheryl’s blog.
Be sure to continue all the way through.
You’ll have some lovely ideas for cards and projects for Summer Birthdays, parties and more!
So let’s jump right in.
**To begin, I cut out the Cattail shapes with the die from a scrap of cardstock, I then decided to use it as a mask**
Project RECIPE
Pizza Box: Add ink with mask made from Cattail die with a Sponge Dauber PRIOR to shaping box. It is much simpler to add ink while it is completely flat.
I also added some So Saffron to mimic soft sunshine over the Cattails
I layered two of the flower die cuts to give some dimension. I did one in Flirty Flamingo and a second in Melon Mambo.
I used the paper snips to take the connecting thread out of the Burlap ribbon and then tied it in the center with the Mossy Meadow linen thread from the Magnolia combo pack. I added it on with Liquid glue.
I then stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay onto a scrap of paper, I used the trio punch to round the corners and then spritzed the while thing with Frost White shimmer paint diluted with alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer.
CARD RECIPE
Base Layer: Seaside Spray 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
Layer: Shimmery White 4″ by 5 1/4″
I added in two layers of die cut flowers: Cattails in Vellum and Flowers in Melon Mambo
I stamped the flower stems onto the Shimmery White layer with Soft Sea Foam, then added flowers in Rococo Rose, Purple Posy and Seaside Spray all stamped off, which means it is a lighter hue than full strength ink.
I also added some Braided Linen Trim which I spread out with my fingers to make it a bit wider. I added it on with Liquid Glue as well so I could move it if needed.
Until next time,
Stay Crafty!
XO Rach
