Stampin Friends Father’s Day Blog Hop

Rachael · May 16, 2019 · 6 Comments

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Father’s Day Blog Hop!

This month’s theme is Father’s Day. If you’re following along the hop, you’ve arrived from Melissa’s blog.

Don’t forget to continue on the hop with Katja’s blog.

Make sure you continue all the way through so you will have plenty of lovely ideas for cards and projects for Dear old DAD or the Dad in your life!

So let’s jump right in.

TRI FOLD WALLET RECIPE

4 1/4″ by 11″

On the 11″ side, you will score at 3″ and 7″

On the 4 1/4″ you will score at 1 1/4″, you will remove the center section and slightly miter cut the other two to make it FEEL like a real wallet. I originally glued the flaps at the very edge so I could still slip something inside, then I stapled it with the mini stapler, then went in and covered it with a small strip of leftover DSP from the Garden Lane paper.  I like the finished look much better.

I sponged the entire card with Mossy Meadow ink with a Sponge Dauber and added some “worn” spots.

I decorated it with different cards from the Come Sail Away Memories & More card pack that I trimmed to fit:

Anchor card trimmed to 2 7/8″ square

Destination Happiness card trimmed to 2 6/8″ square

Adventure Compass card trimmed to 3 3/4″ by 2 6/8″

Happy Father’s Day card trimmed to 3 3/4″ by 2 6/8″

I was also able to get two gift cards into the far right slot.

CARD RECIPE

4 1/4″ by 11″, score at 5 1/2″

Stamp the two different patterns from Verdant Garden using the stamparatus for precise placement, I used Mossy Meadow for the larger and Pear Pizzazz for the inlay image.

I added a 3/4″ by 5 1/2″ piece of the coordinating Garden Lane DSP

I  stamped in Here’s to a wonderful in Pear Pizzazz ink but I masked off the “couple” with post it tape and stamped the sentiment onto a Whisper White scrap then punched it out with the new Timeless Label Punch.

I sponged the edges with some Pear Pizzazz ink to make it pop and stuck it on with dimensional to give it some lift.

Until next time,

Stay Crafty!

XO Rach

That tri-fold Wallet is ingenious! I must admit I would also very much like one of the Disney gift cards to go in one if I made it. LOL! The card you made is a perfect color combo for any masculine card.
