Stampin’ Friends Easter/Pastels Blog Hop

Rachael · March 21, 2019 · 11 Comments

This is the Rainbow Stampers card. He created it all on his own!

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop!

This month’s theme is Easter/Pastels. If you’re following along the hop, you’ve arrived from Katja’s blog.

Don’t forget to continue on the hop with Kim’s blog.

Make sure you continue all the way through so you will have plenty of lovely ideas for Easter cards and projects!

So let’s jump right in.

This is the template for the box, you can make TWO from one sheet of 12×12 cardstock!

I scored them together then cut in half, but you can trim it down and make one at a time if it is easier!

BOX RECIPE

Score at 1″, 4 3/4″

Turn 90′ and then score at 1″, 5″, 6″, 10″

Trim to score lines as shown in picture above and add Tear n Tape.

Make sure you reinforce folds with a Bone Folder too!

CARD RECIPE

Base Layer: 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ in Petal Pink

Layer: 5 1/4″  by 4″ in Mint Macaron

Layer: 5″ by 3 3/4″ in Whipser White

I used the colors below in a totally random array, some I masked off, and then I flipped the stamps over to used the back side to make a reflection of the images I previously stamped.

I also made a total boo boo by stamping an image and it left a line mark. I thought it totally ruined it but when I looked closer it kind of looks like the fireflies tail….so I left it 🙂

I also filled in some background color by filling an Aquapainter with Alcohol and dipping in into the ink pad lid. It gives a super soft color and you can do it BEFORE or AFTER stamping, it will not ruin your images.

My son also made a card, he wanted to use just what I did, and made it completely on his own…..did I mention how hard that was for me NOT to supervise?

In case you are new to my blog, my son is 5 and goes by The Rainbow Stamper, if you check my YouTube page, you will find some of his videos 🙂

Until next time,

Stay Crafty!

XO Rach

I love your cards but I’m intrigued by Rainbow Stamper as an art teacher. So since he did it all by his self and I can see how far he has come, I’m choosing his .

Your Rainbow Stamper did an excellent job and his card is beautiful but in all honesty I love your box. The wreath design is so pretty.
