Hi Stampers and Crafters!
I am sorry this took so long , but here are the dimensions for the two different sized DSP reinforced layer boxes I created last week!
I made the first one and the lid was too large for the Cardstock bottom I intended to use it for! (GASP!!)
So after I redid the top to fit the bottom I created and the video ended, I got to make the appropriate bottom for the larger top right away.
You are lucky enough that I just did a two for one blog post here 🙂
It is a pretty amusing video to watch if you ask me, and as always when I am live I think of lots of off the cuff tips and ideas, so be sure to give it a look if you missed it!
Both boxes are pretty great sizes to be able to fit some significant treats or goodies, so don’t let the pictures fool you!
LARGER BOX RECIPE
Bottom (use Cardstock for a sturdy base): 8 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 2″ on all four sides, trim flaps and adhere with Tear n Tape or other STRONG adhesive strip
DSP Lid (specialty DSP does fold slightly different, so you may need and extra 1/8″ on each length): 7″ x 7″, score at 1/2″ and 1 1/4″ on each side. You will trim out all but one square and then the flaps will fold over to give the DSP some strength for opening and closing. This is much easier to understand if you watch the video.
MEDIUM BOX RECIPE
Bottom (use Cardstock for a sturdy base): 7 7/8″ x 7 7/8″, score at 2″ on all four sides, trim flaps and adhere with Tear n Tape or other STRONG adhesive strip
DSP Lid (specialty DSP does fold slightly different, so you may need and extra 1/8″ on each length): 7″ x 7″, score at 1/2″ and 1 1/2″ on each side. You will trim out all but one square and then the flaps will fold over to give the DSP some strength for opening and closing. Again, this is much easier to understand if you watch the video.
You can close them with some pretty ribbon to decorate and even create a tag if you choose!
Until next time,
Stay Crafty!
XO Rach
