I hope you’ve had fun watching the craziness that has been my life lately……I was not sure I would even be able to pull a card off for this hop! But, lucky for me, I had created a card last week and was hanging on to it…..and now I know why!
I know this is not a traditional Father’s Day card, but you could easily add a sentiment from the May Paper Pumpkin kit, which is available with refill kits by using order # 147523 in my online store! Also, you can still get the Truly Tailored stamp set and add a great sentiment and Teeny Tiny Wishes which will both retire soon!
I had so much fun creating this card with the forthcoming Sea of Textures bundle. You guys are just gonna love this bundle. It is so beautiful and versatile…..and it will have to substitute as I am usually at the beach for Memorial Day weekend but had some other things come up this year…..so I made a super beachy card to hold myself over ;D
By the way, my dad really loves the beach, so I know he will love this card too!
I created this card with a base layer of Bermuda Bay 4 1/4″ by 11″, score at 5 1/2″
Then add a 4″ by 5 1/4″ layer of Pool Party. I cut the little fish out with the die and left them in the die. Then on the inside I added a bit of Tomboy Liquid glue and added the fish in to make the inside more interesting 🙂
I added the Sand Dollars by layering two pieces of Thick Whisper White on top of one another. The center of the sand dollar has a great starfish, which I just sponged with some Powder Pink to make it more lifelike.
I added a net in Crumb Cake and a few sea grass in Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide. Plus of course a Coral with Calypso Coral 🙂
