How Sweet Strip Fold Card

Rachael · February 10, 2019 · Leave a Comment

Hi Stampers!

This really sweet card was a CASE( Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit) from the very talented Rachel Tessman at Stamp Your Art Out.

We made this in stamp club last week and everyone LOVED it. It is a really fun fold card and a REALLY great way to use some of the DSP( Designer Series Paper) you’ve been “saving” for something. This is a really nice way to use the DSP on a LOT of cards and the best part is you are only using 1″ strips so you can make so many and still have some paper to SAVE for a rainy day!

I added a few Foil candies and you can earn these free for a limited time during Sale A Bration with a $50 purchase! The Lovely Lipstick is super pretty but the Grapefruit Grove is my absolute fav since it is really holographic looking and picks up a rainbow of colors!

CARD RECIPE

Base Layer: Basic Black 4 1/4″ by 5 1/2″

DSP: 5 1/4″ by 1″, you need two

Black Fold Flap: 2 1/8″ by 11″, score at 5 1/2″

Whisper White: 1 7/8″ by 5 1/4″ and a scrap for the front sentiment, you can also add a 4″ by 5 1/4″ panel to the back if you want more writing space

As Rachel explained on her blog, you can make the strips look as if they are one whole panel of paper instead of strips if you cut a 5 1/4″ by 12″ piece of DSP and then cut 1″ strips all the way down. Then you will choose every other piece and they will blend as you add the black flap layer. So for example you would choose #1 and #3, #2 and #4 and so on.

Until next time,

Stay Crafty!

XO Rach
