Shaving Cream Technique for backgrounds

Hi Stampers!

Hope you enjoyed the cards we made live today!

Maybe this is a new to you technique, or one you just haven’t done in a while!

I agreed with you all….the lighter turtle got lost in the card. I stamped a new version in Memento and colored it with Stampin’ Blends, fussy cut it and overlaid it since the rest of the card was already in place!

Another version with a background stitched circle would’ve been nice too!

To create the above cards, you need FOAM Shaving Cream, a plastic knife or chop stick and some ink refills. I would do no more than four colors at a time, but you can make a TON of cards before the ink and foam dry out.

CARD RECIPE

Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″

Basic Black layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″

THICK Whisper White or Shimmery White layer: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, then I trimmed it down to 3 3/4″ x 5″
