Hi Stampers!
I wanted to share a video with two ways of doing Watercolors: Wet Paper and Dry Paper.
WET PAPER
DRY PAPER
I showed how to wet the paper down and how you get different looks depending on how you do it and how the water and ink “bleed” or “bloom” on the paper.
I did use some Hard Boards I got from Amazon as it helps minimize warping when you tape them down and also makes it convenient to “move ” the color around as you can lift and tilt it.
I got a 12 pack since I do classes, but they have others to choose from as well.
I used Craft White ink refill to create the splatter and it does dry much lighter but still pretty.
I shared exactly how to get the splatter and some other options you may have on hand as well.
Also worth noting, you want to go in a swishy/swirly pattern with your strokes with a light hand and NOT hard straight strokes with the black ink.
You cannot fix it and I will only be able to fix it by strategically placing my sentiment.
I would also think some “Watercolor black ink” may give a lighter black finish, but I actually like how it turns out in the end!
I am going to order the Gouache White Paint to try and a few other items as well.
I will do another video with that once it comes in.
I stamped the “Little Dipper” all over the base in Pretty Peacock ink for some added interest, you can skip or change that as well.
