To create the cards above, I started with a color combo, then I didn’t like it :), so I changed the color scheme again and I REALLY LOVED IT!
I decided to mix some old and new stuff and of course add some sparkle with the Copper Delicata ink pad!
I mixed Pumpkins, Teachers and some great foliage stamps and I think it turned out so cool! I then had an idea for the inside which would be pretty covered over since I chose a double flap card, so I made a second card.
For that one I thought of doing a take on “Floating Frames” by stamping a bunch of images and then cutting it out with the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle and popping the inside panel up. I added some softness by embossing vellum with the Leaf 3D folder. I also sponged some Copper ink all over the vellum.
I added a fe vellum leaves and then wanted a hard element. Well, I had used all my Copper leaves from the Leaf embellishments, so I Heat Embossed one with Copper Powder and I think it turned out fab. Side note, I over embossed it, so it was dripping melted powder, so I think I will make a card showing that fun “accidental” technique soon too!
CARD RECIPE
Card base: Grapefruit Grove 4 1/4″ by 11″, score on the 11″ side at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″
Whisper White or Vellum Layer: 4″ by 2 1/2″
Inside base: Mint Macaron 3″ by 8″, score at 4″on the 8 ” side
Inside double layer: 4″ by 5 1/4″ and use the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle to cut and raise on dimensional
