Fortunate to Know You, Stampin’ Up!

Hi Stampers,

If you missed my surprise Facebook Pop up on Friday, here are the video and details for you!

I made this card as soon as I got this set the other night. The Fortunate to Know You stamp set was on my list as soon as I saw it! I know this would make an excellent card for Chinese New Year which is coming February 16th and is the Year of the Dog! This set would also make a really fun Valentine’s Day card. You can even mask out the heart on the take out container if you wanted to add a custom message!

Hope you’ll give this sweet set a second glance, it’s well worth it’s weight in gold!

Until next time,

Stay Crafty

Stampin’ Blends explained & A Marbled Background card, Stampin’ Up!

Hi Stampers!

I hope this will help to answer some of your questions and give you some tips for how to use the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers and the Watercolor Pencils some of us may have forgotten we bought.

I did a few examples of how to create with them using them together, but I would recommend using Thick Whisper White paper instead of the regular which I used.

Also, I really did like the rainbow cards we made and have been busy working on another background and I will let you know how it turns out and what I ended up doing differently.

Until next time,

Stay Crafty

A Fast and Fun Christmas Gift , Stampin’ Up!

Hello Stampers!

Guess what……I just finished my blog post for today! I promised to have a new one every day through Christmas Eve and I forgot. So I thought, it is close to Christmas, people may be in crunch time mode…..make a quick and easy one!

So this is what I came up with and you may have many of the easy things needed to make these, and guess what else? If you don’t ,swap it our for a stamp set you have, or you could even go the route of giving thank you cards! People NEED those too!

If you have the Pizza Boxes to add the cards below to, you could add some DSP and a simple stamped image, tie some ribbon as well if you’d like.

If you don’t , just tie it up with a pretty , festive ribbon, or layer two together as I did with these!

You could copy any of the cards shown and make the same stamp only ones, or DSP and a stamp, whatever works for your needs!

So without further delay…..

The note cards are 3″ by 6″, score at 3″, you can use Whisper White or Very Vanilla to make it easy. You can use colored card stock but you may need to add a white insert so keep it simple.

Then Stamp, use ink that is not a traditional Christmas color, know why? It is your card! And besides Christmas lights on a string are all different colors right?

I went with similar color schemes, for example:

Rich Razzleberry and Perfect Plum

Dapper Denim and Marina Mist

I think they are fun and take the stress out.

Another way is the Stampin’ Blends if you WANT to color…..if you don’t just Stamp It! 🙂

One more way is a bold sentiment with a 2 3/4″ square piece of DSP behind it! Ya know you have tons of cool DSP leftover 😉

So easy and fun and really with endless possibilities too

Hope you have fun creating your version!

Stay tuned for a new idea each day up through Christmas Eve:)…..Even if I “Last Minute Lucy” it 😀

Until next time,

Stay Crafty

Stampin’ Blends review, Stampin’ Up!

Hi Stampers!

I created this fun card yesterday while explaining some things I discovered about the all new Stampin’ Blends, which will be available for purchase in my online store starting November 1, 2017. Click the link to SHOP NOW.

I tried the new blends out on Whisper White card stock, Vellum paper and Window Sheets. I used Memento ink for all of them and then I colored them in a few differnet ways to see which worked and how to make some work.

See the video below for all of the info.

The card I made was a Joy Fold card, and is very simple to create and also super easy to make into most any theme, style or color scheme:)

Measurements:

You can use a sheet of 8 1/2″ by 11″ and make two card bases and then add in the other part, or make one from a full sheet.

Base 4 1/4″ by 11″, score at 5 1/2″ 2 3/4″

Inside Base 3 3/4″ by 7 1/2″, score at 3 3/4″

Layers for the main base
1 piece 4″ by 5 1/4″, I used DSP

2 pieces 4″ by 2 1/2″, again I used DSP

Layers for Inside Base
2 pieces 3 1/2″ by 3 1/2″, I used Whisper White to be able to stamp my images and sentiments.

In this version, I fussy cut an ornament from the Season of Whimsy to hold the card closed, pretty fun idea!

Until next time,

Stay Crafty
