Hi Stampers!
Welcome to our Stamp It Group CHRISTMAS Blog Hop!!
I hope you will come away with so much inspiration and so many ideas, you forget to do your chores today 🙂
The project I designed today is actually one I just recently pulled out and decided I would redo it again, but until late yesterday , I had no idea I would use it for this blog hop.
It is so simple, fun and easy to create I figured it would be a huge hit to make for so many people in out lives. Especially at this giving time of year, when little things mean so much more than we know.
These would be super gift to give to your kids teachers, your daycare people, mom friends at school…..the list could go on and on. Lots of people might really want to give a little thank you note but not have the time or energy to get or make one, so you could save the day by gifting them this little box of goodies.
Its a simple design, you need a fun 8 1/2″ by 11″ piece of card stock. I would suggest using Thick Whisper White or Thick Very Vanilla as they are quite sturdy and will score and hold shape so well.
Then you can decorate with your choice of Designer Series Paper, or even some thinlits or edgelits as I have shown in the many examples.
You can also make the cards as simple or intricate as you’d like. You can decorate the fronts with 2 3/4″ square pieces of DSP, strips of Washi Tape, a Sentiment punched out and layered on another larger Punch, and so many more.

Measurements:
On the 8 1/2″ side, score at 1″ on each end
On the 11″ side, score at 1″ and 4″ on each side, you will end up with a 1″ score in the center if you do it correctly.
DSP Layers:
For the top of the box, you will need a piece of DSP measuring 3 7/8″ by 6 3/8″, two of each measuring 3/8″ by 6 3/8″ and 3/8″ by 3 7/8″ for the long front layers and two side layers.
The rest is up to you.
You could stamp a sentiment on Whisper White and punch it out with the 2″ Circle Punch, then punch a Starburst circle with Copper, Silver or Gold Foil paper. Make sure you give it some flair by tying a length of ribbon to hold it closed and add a small bow. Make it just loose enough that they can slide it off and back on and add some sparkle with the Silver Sequin trim.
Make it more rustic by adding Burlap Ribbon, a bow made of Copper Trim and then finish it by wrapping a Boxwood Wreath around the bows.
They may not even want to open it……but they will 🙂
