Pieces & Patterns, Stampin’ Up!

This fun new stamp set will steal the show when it debuts in the all new 2017-18 Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog.

I used Cajun Craze cardstock and ink for the Dino and I stamped a mushroom and raindrop image with Crumb Cake all onto Very Vanilla card stock. I added a touch of Always Artichoke with the Stampin’ Write marker for some added detail and depth.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and I punched it out with the Classic Label punch.

Replay of LIVE Periscope, Stamp Therapy :) Stampin’ Up, Lovely as a Tree

This is a repost from last April 27th, 2016. Thank you for taking the time to look again. My dziadzi will always be special to me<3

For those of you who missed it, or may not have Periscope, here’s a video I did earlier today.

I‘m using one of the oldest running Stampin’ Up stamp sets in honor of my grandfather who was 100 years young, that sadly passed away today. What better way to honor a carpenter who created things until he was a spry 98, than with some crafty creativity!!

I used :

# 127793 Lovely as a Tree stamp set

# 122959 Watercolor Paper

# 101650 Very Vanilla card stock

# 105119 Always Artichoke card stock

# 140931 Archival Black ink pad

# 126973 Garden Green ink pad

# 131181 Soft Sky ink pad

OSW: Quick and Cute DSP Halloween treat holder, Stampin’ Up!

Hi stampers! This is such a fun little treat box, you will surely want to try. You can use a 9 x 9 piece if you want to get some cards out of the DSP sheet as well, making it a One Sheet Wonder. Or you could a full 12 x 12 sheet of DSP and make a bigger treat holder. This is also very easily switched to any holiday by changing out the DSP, or making your own to suit what you need. I put fill instructions below on a sheet of paper. I marked the score lines in ink so it would be easier to see, they only indicate the scoring spots and do not need to be done in ink. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me 🙂

Until next time, Stay Crafty!!

Full 9×9 sheet, or you can use 12×12

A spooky fun Halloween treat box, Stampin’ Up!

Hi stampers! It’s getting closer to that fun time of year, when all the little ghoulies  & goblins come out looking for treats! I really LOVE Halloween, even more so now that I have a little to enjoy it with me 🙂 This box was an idea that I came up with , after thinking back on my grade school years in Catholic school. We had these boxes called Christmas Kits, maybe some of you had them too, with some really crazy and goofy stuff in them. The idea was you lugged this kit around, were able to show people samples of what was inside and then they placed and order, that you then had to deliver back to them. Honestly, it was a zany thing to do, since these things were H U G E, and being that we had more than one kid in school at a time, kind of unfair, since I am most sure we had to bring home two. I can imagine now as a parent how much of a thrill ( insert sarcasm here) it was to pull up to get your kid(s) and see these giant boxes of nonsense sitting on the curb with them. I am sure my mom was thrilled, but she never let on how much of a P I A they were 😉

So if you want to create this simple box, it’s best followed in the video below, but I will list the measurements as promised.

You’ll need a piece of 12 x 12 card stock, color of your choice.

I used Elegant Eggplant.

Trim the card stock down to about 6 1/2″.

Score along the landscape side at 1 1/2″, 5 3/4″, 7 1/4″ & 11 1/2″, turn to the portrait position, and score at 1 1/2″ & 5″. I ended up not liking the last score, so I cut it off, also you may notice I changed the last landscape score, since it was slightly off, and made my box a little off as will. I went back and fixed it. ALSO, I liked it so much, I made a Tangerine Tango version too. Pics are all below. It was really super fun to make and even more fun to decorate! You could also make this into ANY HOLIDAY you would like as well. I am definitely going to do a Christmas and maybe even Thanksgiving version.

Thanks for coming with me on this stroll down memory lane;)

Until next time…… Stay Crafty!!

July 4th card, Stampin’ Up

Hi stampers!! It’s almost that time: cookouts, fireworks, parades…..I really love the Americana of the 4th of July. Makes me feel so proud to live where we are F R E E to be what and whomever we want to be ! Honestly, whenever I create or think about a 4th card, I cannot but help sing patriotic songs in my head…..Does that happen to anyone else?!?

I have had this idea in my head for several months now……I really fell in love with the Lucky Stars embossing folder, so much so, that I really wracked my brains on how to make it into a flag card!!! I will spare you all of my sad reject cards, BUT then I saw the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. Like a bolt out of the blue, it hit me. I could actually make it into a “Flag Card”. So I positioned the Lucky Stars folder on the top corner of the Whisper White card stock, went over it in Night of Navy, then added Real Red “stripes” from the Swirly Scribbles set. SO DARN CUTE!! I also used the Bunch of Banners framelits, which I stamped in Night of Navy as well, then hand wrote in the “America the Beautiful” words. It really turned out so much more beautiful than it was in my head. I added some White Chalk marker to the debossed stars, and topped them with a little Wink of Stella.
